The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who was on Sunday, invited by the Nigerian Police to its headquarters, to answer questions on the robbery at Offa in Kwara state, on April 5 has revealed that he has just directed his aide de camp (ADC) to get the letter of invitation from the police, adding that he was willing to honour the invitation.
He tweeted; “I have just informed my ADC to get the letter of Invitation from @policeng as regards the allegations of yesterday so I can immediately honor their Invitation.”
We reported earlier today that the Police backtracked on inviting the senate president over the allegations against him but rather, chose to have him respond to in writing.
Writing via his Twitter handle, confirmed that he had been asked to write to the police and not appear in person, adding that he will respond to the police in writing within 48 hours.
“Following my earlier tweet, I have received the letter from police. They are no longer asking me to appear at any station, but to respond in writing to the allegations within 48 hours which I plan to do,” he wrote.
