It’s official! Liverpool is once again England’s champion!
The Reds have won their 19th division championship and their first Premier League title ever, at a gallop and with a remarkable seven games remaining.
And their overwhelming success was secured without a ball being kicked in the evening after Manchester City won the Premier League title for the first time in 30 years after a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea Liverpool.

With City at the Etihad next in line for Jurgen Klopp’s champions, Liverpool fans can relish the thought that their closest rivals for the title will provide the Reds with a guard of honour when the two sides meet on 2 July.
It has been a long wait for Liverpool – and sometimes, even this season, it seemed as if the Reds were cursed never to become champions of England again.
