How over 20,000 COVID-19 cases spread across 36 Nigerian states

The number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has continued to rise, with hundreds of infections recorded every day.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 436 new cases of the disease in a tweet on Sunday evening, 21 June, bringing the number of cases in Nigeria to 20,244.

The NCDC reported that 35 states and Abuja have confirmed cases of coronavirus.
