COVID-19: Ex-Oyo Governor Ajimobi Dies At 70

Senator Abiola Ajimobi, former governor of Oyo State, is dead. He was 70 years old.

Ajimobi, who has been in a coma for a few days after an operation at the First Cardiology Hospital, Ikoyi, and is on life support, died.

A credible source said Ajimobi, who was treated for COVID-19 complications, has been completely unconscious since last Thursday after his organs collapsed completely.

He said his family will make a formal announcement on Thursday night.

His organs collapsed about a week ago. It’s just that the family didn’t want to pull the plug on life support. May his soul rest in peace,” he said.

The former governor was reported dead last week, but his aides and family members denounced the report, which urged Nigerians to pray for his recovery instead.
