Liverpool midfielder has put pen to paper on a five-year deal worth £5.2million-a-year to join Italian giants Juventus for free this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian newspaper report that the 24-year-old Germany international has finally signed a deal with the defending Serie A champions after months of speculation.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Can has been seduced by the promise of a ‘technical project’ in Turin, with other suitors Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich unable to offer him the same.
Can has been at Liverpool for four years since signing for £10million from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014, going on to make 166 appearances for the Reds, scoring 14 goals.
His contract is set to come to an end this summer, with Liverpool said to want the 24-year-old to remain at Anfield.
Juventus are currently top of the Serie A table as they look to secure their sixth-successive title.
Can has developed into a key cog in the Liverpool midfield, and losing him would be a big blow.
The Germany international is one of Jurgen Klopp’s most-trusted lieutenants, and his absence next season will be noticed.
One saving grace for Liverpool is the impending arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, who will slot straight into their midfield.
