Airport Reopening: All Passengers Must Arrive Three Hours Before Take Off

All passengers must arrive three hours before departure- FAAN says while the federal government is preparing to lift the ban on domestic flights, the Nigerian Federal Airport Authority (FAAN)

has stated that passengers who would travel on one of the flights must now be at the airport three hours before departure time.

In a tweet on his handle this afternoon, FAAN said the three hours before arrival time was necessary to give passengers time to get the necessary COVID-19

‘#COVID__19 Passenger Resumption Protocol: Due to the new COVID-19 security checks, you are advised to arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight,” the tweet says.

The Presidential Task Force on COVID19 has made it clear that the date for resuming flights is not, as speculated, June 21.

The PTF said it had only given the airport authorities until June 21 to draw up new guidelines for flight operations.

No date for the full resumption of flights in the country has yet been announced.
