Police Arrest Two, Bust Robbery Hideout in Mushin Hotel

The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have uncovered a hotel allegedly used as a criminal hideout in the Mushin area of the state.
The police officers also arrested two suspected armed robbers during the raid.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Adebisi said officers sighted four suspected robbers along Empire Junction by Jibowu inward Ikorodu Road at about 10:00 a.m. on Friday, noting that three escaped, while a 21-year-old man, Toheeb Adeboye, was apprehended.
Adebisi stated that a search of the suspect’s bag revealed a cut-to-size single-barrel gun, an English Barreter pistol with two live rounds, and another pistol with cartridges.

The police spokesperson said the suspect confessed that the gang had just concluded a robbery in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, and planned to regroup at the New Supreme Hotel in Mushin.
She noted: “During interrogation, the suspect confessed that the gang had just concluded a robbery operation at Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, and were on their way to New Supreme Hotel, Akala, Mushin, their regular hideout after operations.
“Acting on this intelligence, operatives raided the hotel, recovered incriminating exhibits including a laptop, charms, substances suspected to be Indian hemp and hard drugs.”
Adebisi disclosed that police operatives also arrested one of the fleeing gang members, Ajayi Adeniyi, 33, who was found with a locally fabricated pistol.
Adebisi added: “The said hotel hideout has since been cordoned off permanently.
“Both suspects and the recovered exhibits have been transferred to the Command Headquarters, and the case is currently under investigation, while efforts are ongoing to track down the other fleeing members of the gang.”
