Nigeria to Host Africa’s Defence and Security Exhibition

The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) has signed a partnership agreement with UK-based DMG Events to host the Africa Defence and Security Exhibition (AFRIDEX 2026) in Lagos.
AFRIDEX, regarded as the continent’s largest defence and security exhibition, will run from October 25 to 28, 2026, showcasing advanced technologies, fostering partnerships, and shaping the future of Africa’s defence industry.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed recently in Abuja by DICON Director-General, Maj.-Gen. Babatunde Ibrahim Alaya, and DMG Events Vice-President, Nick Ornstein, on the sidelines of the inaugural African Chiefs of Defence Staff Summit.

Maj.-Gen. Alaya described the agreement as a symbol of trust and collaboration, noting that AFRIDEX would bring together military officials, policymakers, and innovators from across the globe.
Ornstein assured that DMG Events would deliver a world-class platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and innovation among defence and security stakeholders.
The exhibition is expected to attract defence ministers, service chiefs, industry leaders, and international partners, marking the most significant defence and security showcase ever held in Africa.
