
Accreditation and voting began simultaneously at Polling Units 006 and 007 in Adeniji Adele, located within Saint Stephens Nursery and Primary School, Lagos Island Local Government Area, on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
Officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived at Ward E3, Polling Unit 006, by 7:30 a.m., with voting commencing promptly at 8 a.m. The INEC staff efficiently set up voting materials to ensure a smooth process.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, one of the 634 registered voters at the polling unit, had not yet arrived as of 8:30 a.m. The elections, organized by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), cover all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.
Security personnel were deployed to maintain order, while party agents monitored proceedings closely. In line with INEC guidelines, priority voting was given to the elderly, nursing mothers, and persons with disabilities.
As of the time of reporting, no incidents of violence, vote-buying, or technical issues had been recorded. Voting will continue until all eligible voters in line have exercised their franchise.
