The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of popular social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, over multiple petitions.
According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, the agency acted on complaints from several individuals.
“We arrested him to respond to allegations raised by petitioners,” Oyewale said, adding that the commission plans to arraign him in court.
The EFCC intends to release VeryDarkMan once bail conditions are met.
The development has sparked reactions, with the Take It Back Movement calling for his immediate release.
