Bishop David Abioye is set to start a new church after his retirement from the Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners Chapel.
Abioye made the announcement via a post on his X account on Monday, April 28, 2025.
The Abuja based cleric noted that he would start Sunday morning services on May 4.
He wrote on his x account: “Exciting news! By the grace of God, starting next Sunday, our service is moving to the morning — 8:00AM
“It’s a new day for you — come ready to be blessed mightily in Jesus’ name.
“Mark your calendars, set your alarms — we can’t wait to see you there! Tag someone you’re inviting!”
Abioye was the vice president of Winners Chapel before he and Thomas Aremu retired in October 2024.
Their retirement followed a review of the church’s leadership policy, which made 55 the official retirement age.
At that time, Aremu was 67 and Abioye was 63.
After his retirement, Abioye started a non-denominational ministry that held services every Sunday evening.
He has now announced that services would henceforth be held in the morning, starting at 8:00 a.m.
