
Past fellows of the MTN Media Innovation Program (MIP) will mentor aspiring applicants in an upcoming webinar, offering insights into the fellowship’s impact and guiding participants through the application process.
MTN Nigeria, in collaboration with the School of Media and Communication at Pan-Atlantic University, announced the event, scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
The webinar will provide an in-depth look at the fellowship’s structure, curriculum, and career opportunities for media professionals, including journalists, broadcasters, content creators, and digital storytellers.
Speakers include Sakina Ahmad (Reporter, FRCN Fombina FM Yola), Frank Eleanya (Senior Reporter, TechCabal), Ebunoluwa Dosumu (TV Presenter & Brand Strategist, WorldPR Media), and Nifemi Oguntoye (Deputy Head of Presentation, TVC Communications). These accomplished media professionals will share their experiences from the six-month program, which features hands-on learning, mentorship, and an international study visit to South Africa.
With thousands of applications expected for the 2025 cohort, the session will provide tips on crafting a standout application, understanding selection criteria, and making the most of the program’s opportunities. Faculty members from PAU’s School of Media and Communication will also outline the learning modules and training structure.
Dean of SMC, Dr. Ikechukwu Obiaya, emphasized the program’s role in shaping the future of media professionals, highlighting its focus on creativity, ethics, and innovation.
The free webinar is open to all media practitioners and provides a unique opportunity to engage with alumni, faculty, and MTN executives in an interactive session.
