President Bola Tinubu will join fellow Muslims at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday for a special prayer session for Nigeria, ahead of his 73rd birthday on Saturday.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the prayer session will serve as both a moment of gratitude and supplication, as Tinubu seeks divine guidance and strength in leading the nation.
The event coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and comes just two months before the second anniversary of his administration. Tinubu’s decision to mark his birthday with prayers, Onanuga noted, reflects his dedication to Nigeria’s spiritual and moral well-being.
The President emphasized the power of collective prayers in fostering national progress and harmony. He urged Nigerians to join the prayer session in spirit, whether at their places of worship or in private reflection, reinforcing a shared commitment to unity and national development.
Expressing gratitude for the support of Nigerians, Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s focus on economic reforms, security, and expanding opportunities for all citizens.
“I am deeply thankful to Allah for the gift of life and the privilege to serve this great nation. As I mark another birthday and look forward to our second anniversary, my heart is filled with Renewed Hope for Nigeria. I urge all citizens to pray for divine guidance, unity, and healing for our land. Together, we shall overcome challenges and build a nation where every citizen thrives,” he said.
The President reiterated his commitment to strengthening democracy, driving economic recovery, and promoting national cohesion, encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful in the country’s future as a leading force in Africa.
