President Bola Tinubu has ordered a thorough investigation into the tanker explosion that claimed multiple lives and caused several accidents in Karu, Abuja, on Wednesday night.
In a statement by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu also extended condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones in the tragic incident, which occurred during peak traffic hours.
The President directed security agencies, especially those responsible for road safety, to enhance monitoring of traffic around Abuja’s entry and exit points to prevent future occurrences.
Additionally, he instructed medical facilities to prioritize the treatment of the injured.
Praying for the souls of the departed, Tinubu expressed hope that the Almighty would grant strength to grieving families.
