APC Welcomes Jandor Back As He Dumps PDP Over Internal Crisis

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially welcomed Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, back into its ranks following his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Jandor, the PDP’s governorship candidate in the 2023 election, announced his return to the APC on Monday, weeks after citing internal crises and a lack of discipline within the PDP as his reasons for leaving.

Reacting to the development, Lagos APC Spokesman, Seye Oladejo, expressed excitement over Jandor’s return.

“He is welcome home. We are happy that he now appreciates the fact that Lagos State is still better and safer in the hands of the progressives, who have enjoyed the uninterrupted trust and confidence of our people since the inception of this dispensation,” Oladejo told NAN.

He added that the APC remains open to more defections in the coming days.

Jandor, a former APC member and leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, initially left the party in 2021 to join the PDP, where he later emerged as the party’s governorship candidate.

However, citing leadership betrayal and internal strife, he resigned from the PDP on March 3 and has now rejoined the APC.
