LASU Graduate’s Body Found: Police Arrest Suspects, Investigate Murder

The Lagos State Police Command has exhumed the body of 28-year-old Adedamola Ogunbode, a graduate of Lagos State University, who went missing on January 16.

His body was found in a shallow grave behind the LASU fence in the Ojo Campus.

The police had earlier arrested four suspects and are searching for four others allegedly linked to the murder.

According to reports, the suspects transferred all the money from the deceased’s bank account and shared it among themselves. One of the suspects led the police to the grave site, where Ogunbode’s body was recovered.

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer, assured that the police would apprehend the remaining suspects and conclude the investigation soon.

He also stated that the suspects will be prosecuted to ensure justice is served.

The police have sealed a church attended by one of the arrested suspects due to intelligence reports of a planned arson in retaliation.
