President Bola Tinubu has expressed satisfaction with the gradual decrease in food inflation in Nigeria, attributing this positive development to the collective hard work of his cabinet members, state governors, and other political leaders.
While hosting governors, members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), Service Chiefs, and selected Heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to break the Ramadan fast at the State House, Abuja, Tinubu noted that the reduction in food inflation is a welcome surprise, especially during the Ramadan period when prices typically surge.
The President commended his cabinet and leaders at the sub-national level for their efforts, urging them to consider themselves as “great navigators” who will bring Nigeria back to the promised land. He emphasized the need for continued collective effort to achieve this goal.
Tinubu also recalled his initial charge to his cabinet, describing the task ahead as “fetching water out of a dry well.”
He expressed gratitude for the progress made so far and encouraged his team to do more for the Nigerian people.
