The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has disclosed that it has supplied 48 million barrels of crude oil to Dangote Refinery under the crude-for-naira agreement facilitated by the Federal Government last year.
According to NNPC’s Chief Corporate Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the crude-for-naira deal was a six-month supply agreement that will expire at the end of March 2025.
However, discussions are ongoing for a new contract.
Soneye emphasized that NNPC has made significant crude oil supplies available to Dangote Refinery, totaling over 84 million barrels since the refinery commenced operations in 2023.
NNPC remains committed to supplying crude oil for local refining based on mutually agreed terms and conditions, Soneye added.
