The Lagos State Police Command has sealed off a church, specifically CCC Oluwa Parish in the Ojo axis, in connection with the alleged killing of 28-year-old Adedamola Ogunbode, a Lagos State University graduate.
According to CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, the church was sealed to prevent vandalism and ensure the investigation isn’t compromised.
The police are treating the church as a suspected crime scene and may revisit it multiple times to gather evidence.
Three suspects, including the pastor and two others, are currently in custody, with efforts underway to apprehend five additional suspects, two of whom are reportedly in Benin Republic. The case is ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
The police are working to locate Ogunbode’s body and uncover the circumstances surrounding his death.
The State Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, has assured the public of an intensive investigation and has called for restraint to avoid hindering the investigation.
