Yaba College of Technology Verified As Top Producer of Chartered Accountants In Nigeria

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has officially recognized Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) as the leading institution producing chartered accountants in Nigeria.

This verification was made by ICAN’s President, Chief Davidson Alaribe, during a courtesy visit to the college.

ICAN commended YABATECH for its commitment to academic excellence, particularly in accounting, and for producing an unprecedented number of chartered accountants.

Chief Alaribe emphasized the importance of core values such as accuracy and integrity in the accounting profession and encouraged students to uphold these principles.

The visit also honored Sir George Majekodunmi Okufi, a pioneering figure in the accounting profession.

The rector, Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, expressed gratitude for ICAN’s support and requested collaboration on initiatives to inspire students and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
