Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has denied rumors of his alleged plan to leave the party.
In a statement issued by his media office on Saturday, Atiku described the reports as “a complete fallacy without any logical basis.
Atiku clarified that he is advocating for a strong coalition that would include all opposition parties, including the PDP.
He emphasized that his goal is to oust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and give Nigerians a new lease on life.
The former Vice President reassured Nigerians that he remains a principal and bona fide member of the PDP, contrary to claims that he is planning to defect.
Atiku’s media office stated that any insinuation to the contrary is “contrived to confuse Nigerians” about the magnitude of the grand coalition that is underway to rescue Nigeria from the APC’s grip.
