
In a move set to revolutionize Africa’s agricultural landscape, Chigozie Okwara, founder of AgroPlus, has been appointed as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Climate-Smart Agriculture (CCSA), Cosmopolitan University, Abuja.
Okwara, a driving force behind agricultural transformation and sustainable food systems, is renowned for designing high-impact agribusiness models that merge profitability with sustainability.
His new role at CCSA will enable him to push the boundaries of climate-smart agriculture, combining cutting-edge research with real-world execution.
Okwara stated, “This appointment is an opportunity to challenge the status quo and create a blueprint for Africa’s agricultural future.
We are on the verge of a new era where climate resilience and agribusiness innovation will dictate the success of economies.”
As a research fellow, Okwara will focus on developing climate-smart solutions, strengthening value chains, and fostering strategic partnerships to accelerate Africa’s transition toward sustainable food production.
Subsequently, his work is expected to yield bold new initiatives that will disrupt traditional agricultural models, unlock new investment frontiers, and position Africa as a global leader in climate-resilient agribusiness.
