The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has denied reports that former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Parradang, was kidnapped and killed.
Instead, the police stated that Parradang died in a hotel room after spending time with a yet-to-be-identified woman.
According to the police, Parradang checked into Joy House Hotel in Abuja on Monday, paying N22,000 for a one-night stay. He received a female guest in his room, and the lady left around 4 pm.
Parradang was found dead in his room the next morning by a concerned friend, a military officer.
The police have commenced an investigation into Parradang’s death and are working to arrest the unidentified woman.
They urge the public to refrain from spreading unverified information, including claims of kidnapping, that may incite fear or panic.
