The Lagos State Government has allocated funds in its 2025 budget for urban renewal and technical studies of the highly anticipated Fourth Mainland Bridge.
This development was announced by Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Ope George, during the ministry’s Budget Analysis press conference.
The proposed 37km bridge is expected to connect Lekki Peninsula/Victoria Island and Ikorodu, significantly reducing travel time and easing congestion on the Third Mainland and Eko Bridges.
The project has undergone multiple feasibility studies, and with funds now allocated for technical studies, construction seems imminent.
